Announcements:
In March 2004 the Schnabel Music Foundation has signed a contract with the classical music department of Peermusic for the publication of Artur Schnabel compositions. In a first phase the following works will be printed:

Quartets Number 1, 4, 5, the Quintet for Piano and String Quartet, the Violin Solo Sonata, the Piano Sonata, the Symphonies Number 2 und 3, the Rhapsody, and the Notturno.

Funding of Piano Master Class:
The Schnabel Music Foundation has made a grant to the International Piano Academy-Lake Como for piano Master Classes "In the Tradition of Schnabel," to be given by Leon Fleisher and Claude Frank, both students of Artur and Karl Ulrich Schnabel.

Welcome:
We are very pleased to announce that George McGuire has joined the Foundation as Managing Editor. George has enthusiastically dedicated his life and career to art. He was formerly Managing Editor at Carl Fischer Inc., and editor for G.Schirmer. He spent many years in Vienna, Austria, where he studied composition. While in Vienna he founded the Ariadne Gallery, with branches in Cologne and New York, as well as the Ariadne Publishing House.

The Schnabel Music Foundation welcomes Yvette Mottier, Switzerland, as our European Liaison officer. Ms. Mottier has had a distinguished career as pre-historian and curator at the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire in Geneva, Switzerland.
